F.A.Q.

Is the dental network my insurance company?

No. WellCard Health is not an insurance company. The dental network we provide to our members is a Preferred Provider Network of independent dentists who have agreed to accept a set fee schedule when receiving payment for dental services. As a WellCard Health member, you simply choose a participating dentist and save on out-of-pocket expenses to reduce the overall cost of health care for you and your entire family.

How do I find a dental network provider?

Once logged in, members may visit the "Locate a Provider" page of this WellCard Health website to search for a participating provider in their area.

How do I make my first appointment?

Once you have found a participating dentist, simply call the dentist's office to make an appointment, being sure to tell them you are a WellCard Health member. You may need to show your ID card at your first appointment, so be sure to bring it with you.

How do I find out what dental services are covered with a WellCard Health membership?

During your first appointment with a participating dentist, ask the dentist to let you know what services are covered and the fee schedule associated with the service.

Do members have to remain with the same dentist after choosing one?

No. WellCard Health members can switch participating providers at any time with no waiting periods or forms to fill out.

If my dentist is not participating with the network, how can I get him or her to join?

Your dentist may contact the network for information on participation.
